🤰 5 Things I Wish I Knew During Pregnancy
1️⃣ The power of breathing – A good breathing technique can help you stay calm and relaxed during labour.
2️⃣ Hormones matter – Your body naturally produces hormones that support birth, and understanding them makes a huge difference.
3️⃣ Water birth is an option – You can give birth in a specially designed birthing pool, which can make labour more comfortable.
4️⃣ You have choices – There are many options during pregnancy & childbirth—you don’t have to follow a one-size-fits-all approach.
5️⃣ Birth is about connection – The birthing process is much more about being in tune with your body rather than overthinking everything.

About Me
Hi! My name is Lieke van de Put, and I have lived in Someren since 2016 with my husband Marcel and our three daughters: Lize Lotte (‘17), Emily (‘19), and Yoanna (‘24).
Having always lived and worked in international environments, I know what it’s like to be away from family and friends. I studied abroad for two years and understand the challenges of navigating life in a new country—just like many of you.
After completing my degree in International Business and Management in Germany, I spent almost 20 years working as a Customer Service Specialist in international companies, collaborating with clients such as KLM, Lufthansa, MTU, Nestlé, and Unilever. I have a natural talent for guiding and supporting people in a soft yet effective way, which has been at the heart of my professional career.
From Business to Birth Education
Experiencing my own loving and beautiful births ignited a passion in me: to help other women find their own geboortegeluk (Birth Happiness). Each of my three births was completely different, and that personal journey led me to an extensive study to become a Birth Educator.
Now, I combine my business experience, international background, and deep knowledge of childbirth to empower pregnant women and their partners. My goal is to give you the confidence, knowledge, and tools to approach birth feeling prepared, supported, and in control.
